4. Doubling

“Double” allows players to double their original bet when the initial hand total is 8, 9, 10, or 11. By opting to double down, players indicate their confidence in their hand and willingness to risk an additional amount equal to their original wager.

If the player wins the hand, the payout will be based on the doubled amount. Some casinos may offer a more flexible doubling rule, allowing players to double down on any point combination.

5. Surrender

Surrendering is a strategic option available to players in blackjack. If a player believes that their initial two cards are unlikely to beat the dealer’s hand, they can choose to surrender.

Upon surrendering, half of the player’s original bet is forfeited, and the remaining half is returned. However, surrendering is not allowed if the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace.

6. Insurance
